The Long Island Ducks pinned a convincing loss on the Ogallala Octopi, 13-2, at Nebraska Aquarium. AHei Mikilana was a main factor in the win. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Long Island. Ogallala drops to 2-1.

The Ducks got a lift from shortstop Terrence O'Loughlin, who in the top of the fourth stroked a first pitch fastball to left-center for a 2-run single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Ducks ahead, 2-0.

"What a debacle," groaned Ogallala manager Dewitt Hopper in postgame remarks.
