Rams Need Extra Frames to Get Past Octopi
|
The Ladue Rams, despite a fine performance by Ogallala pitcher Casey Coleman, grabbed a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Wellsville. Coleman allowed 2 runs over 9 innings. Ladue, now 3-1, is setting the league on fire so far.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Ladue catcher Ángel Pérez, facing José Garza, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Rams the 3-2 win.
"The fans went nuts at the end," Pérez said.
