Bompton pitcher Mark Chandler did his part in helping his team defeat the Surprise Shockers, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Bompton goes to 34-15. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.
Bompton took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Leo Murdoch hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Baby Lakers.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Murdoch.
