Snowpeople Jolt Sea Dogs, 9-5, with Late Rally

Getting a good performance from left fielder Sun-dong Wang, the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople defeated the Maine Sea Dogs, 9-5. Wang went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Snowpeople. Boyd Montgomery earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record is now 4-2. The triumph puts Ellesmere Island at 28-24 for the season.
In the top of the eighth, the Snowpeople grabbed the lead when Wang hit his 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Roy Harris made it 9-5, Ellesmere Island.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Wang. "And not try to do too much."
