Zimmerman Spins Gem, Colorado Wins

The Colorado Billy Goats and Pittsburgh Kingfishers squared off at Grazing Hills.
The Colorado Billy Goats picked up a win at Grazing Hills, taking down the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Shawn Zimmerman was a big reason why. George Atwater, who finished 3rd in the SL in saves with 30 in 2054, nailed down the save.
Zimmerman delivered a quality start for Colorado. The 6-foot-4 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 7 innings of work.
"Shawn was in control from the top," said Colorado manager Mack Kilkeary.
The Billy Goats now have a record of 18-20.
