Pitcher Doug Mahoney was rock solid in helping the Tijuana Toros beat the Philadelphia Liberty U-21, 4-1. Tijuana has now won 3 straight, while the Liberty U-21 have lost 3 in a row.

Tijuana went up, 4-1, on Salvador Huerta's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Huerta hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Philadelphia pitcher Esteban Rodríguez feeling deflated.

"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Mahoney.
