Bompton got a terrific performance from pitcher Taikan Fujita, but it wasn't enough to beat the Memphis Music. Memphis won the Field of the Browns contest, 1-0. Fujita threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 run for the losing team. The win was credited to Rudy Berckel in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Taikan Fujita took the loss. Memphis has run its win streak to 9 consecutive.
Randy Harris, who leads the SA- in stolen bases with 5, had a direct impact on the outcome. Harris contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Memphis up, 1-0.
