Baby Lakers Topple Ducks, 6-1, as Andromedon Shines
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 20-year old right fielder Titus Andromedon, the Bompton Baby Lakers stopped the Long Island Ducks, 6-1, in 9 innings. Picking up the win was Barry Davis. He went 9 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits. The left--hander struck out 8 and walked 0. The loss makes Long Island 1-6.
With Bompton leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Andromedon came up to bat against Long Island pitcher José Torres. Andromedon hit a changeup to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Baby Lakers on top, 5-0.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Andromedon told the Bompton Daily.
