The Flint Crush had to overcome a good performance from Ballard pitcher Ed Alvarado to claim a 3-2 win at The Beaver Dam. Alvarado went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Flint pitcher José Morán got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dan Martin got the loss. Ken Leach picked up his 4th save of the season.

Flint used the timely hitting of Aurelio Morales to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Crush on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We found a way to get it done," Morales said.

Ballard falls to 2-5.
