Quebec City turned a fine outing from starter Randy Bender into a victory over the Greenport Harbor Whales at Dylan Park. The final score was 3-2. Cisco Pérez earned the save for Quebec City. Greenport drops to 3-5.

The Harbor Whales had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Baby Blues going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old catcher Yoshimi Sato came to the plate. Sato hit a 2-run double on a first pitch fastball from Greenport hurler Allan Novillo. It was Sato's 2nd double of the year.

"I thought Randy threw the ball well across the board," said Quebec City manager Mauro Rangel.
