Flint Decked by Martin, Shockers
|
A 7-RBI performance from the 21-year old right fielder Brian Martin helped the Surprise Shockers beat the Flint Crush, 9-0. Flint's current losing streak has reached 7 games.
With Surprise leading 5-0 in the bottom of the eighth, Martin came up to bat against Flint pitcher Stanley Boss. Martin hit a fastball to center for a grand slam home run. His 10th home run of the season put the Shockers on top, 9-0.
"We had a nice day," said Surprise skipper Nick Hoskins.
