Amarillo Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Duarte
The Maine Sea Dogs withstood an impressive performance by Amarillo first baseman Roberto Duarte to defeat the Warheads, 7-5, at Sea Dogs Park. Duarte was 3-3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Kwang-myeong Yi finished the game for Maine and earned his 3rd save. Maine bumps their record to 25-37 with the win.

Tied up with the Warheads in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Sea Dogs got a boost from third baseman Wayne Harris. With the bases loaded, Harris saw a 1-0 cutter from Otojiro Kozawa and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Maine on top, 5-4.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Harris, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
