The Ogallala Octopi topped the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 5-2, with youngster Thomas Clinkinboomer playing a key role. Clinkinboomer slugged 2 home runs for the Octopi in the win. Leonardo Flores finished to wrap up his 1st save. Ogallala, with the win, is 20-42.

With Ogallala leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Francisco Sánchez hit a run-scoring single off Ellesmere Island pitcher Enrique Flores. It put the Octopi ahead 2-0.

Sánchez told a Ogallala Times reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
