Fowler Helps Liberty U-21 Beat Baby Lakers, 12-7
A good performance from center fielder Shannon Fowler helped the Philadelphia Liberty U-21 defeat the Bompton Baby Lakers, 12-7. Fowler was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5 for the Liberty U-21. The Liberty U-21 improved to a lofty 47-15.

With Philadelphia leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Fowler came up to bat against Bompton pitcher Nathan Jesty. Fowler hit a changeup to left for a 2-run home run. His 17th home run of the season put the Liberty U-21 on top, 3-0.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Philadelphia manager Santiago Paez.
