The Surprise Shockers pounded the Watford City Trash Pandas, 16-1, at Shockers Field. Dave Ford had a solid game. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the Shockers. Doeke Antonissen was the winner. He's now 1-2. The loser was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Poto Bagliani. Juan Morales notched his 2nd save of the season.

With Surprise leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Ford hit a fastball from Poto Bagliani for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Shockers ahead, 5-0.

Said Watford City manager Dong-hwan Namgung after the blowout loss: "They did pretty much every facet of the game better than we did and that's why we lost."

With the win, Surprise upped its record to 41-22.
