The Watford City Trash Pandas downed the Bompton Baby Lakers, 3-1, at Trash Panda Field. Stellar pitching by Sam Knox had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. The win puts Watford City at 24-40.
Hirotaka Kimura was 1 for 2 for Watford City. The 19-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Gary Larsen. It was his 14th RBI of the season.
"Sam is a tough competitor," said Watford City manager Emmett Amavizca.
