Ducks Pull Off Thrilling 9-3 Win in Extras
The Ducks earned a hard-fought, 9-3 win in 10 innings at Foresters Stadium. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Moose Jaw pitcher Kahakuokahale Leilani. Leilani went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win was credited to 19-year old right-handed pitcher Ellis Jackson in relief. His record improves to 1-0. José Machado took the loss. The victory makes Long Island 5-5.

Long Island used a timely hit from Terrence O'Loughlin to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Ducks ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.

"Our team showed some gumption," said O'Loughlin. "I like it."
