Express Drop Snowpeople, 7-1
|
Getting an impressive start from Beau Davis, Napanee beat Ellesmere Island by the score of 7-1. Napanee is off to a hot start at 7-3.
Napanee used a well-timed hit by Thomas Erak to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Express ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.
Erak told a Napanee Citizen reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
