Trash Pandas Suffer 7-4 Loss to Crush
|
Though he had a terrific game, Darrell Fairchild could not prevent his team, the Watford City Trash Pandas, from absorbing a loss. Flint won the game, 7-4. Fairchild was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Igor Plomp, who is tied for 8th in the SA- in innings pitched with 87.0, was the winning pitcher. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Flint, with the win, is 21-44.
Florante Berbasa was a prime contributor to the Flint win. He went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first with two out, the 19-year old center fielder hit a 2-run single. It made the score 3-0, in favor of the Crush.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Berbasa told the Flint Citizen.
