In a tight tilt between the Flint Crush and the Watford City Trash Pandas, José Suárez was the deciding factor. The Flint right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Suárez got the win, improving to 5-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. The save went to Jamie Newman, number 16 for him.
Flint used a clutch at-bat from Matt Nance to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Crush ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Watford City skipper Paul Díaz.
The win makes Flint 31-35.
