The Hollywood Shredders knocked off the Memphis Mockingbirds, 13-5, at Magnolia Park. Kel Allen was a big reason Hollywood won. The center fielder went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Roy Huntingford, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held the Mockingbirds to 2 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 5. The win lifts Hollywood to a record of 7-8.

The Shredders got a lift from first baseman Soo-keun Yi, who in the top of the third stroked a 1-0 fastball to center for a 2-run single. It was his 18th hit of the season and put the Shredders ahead, 4-2.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Allen told the Hollywood Daily.
