Acevedo Stars for Bullets in 9-4 Win
|
Condor Nest was the site for United States Silver League action featuring the Mexico City Blue Demons and Baltimore Bullets.
Getting offensive support from Yerson Acevedo, the Baltimore Bullets topped the Mexico City Blue Demons, 9-4. Acevedo went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Bullets. The Bullets, at 22-18, have now won 5 straight.
Alex Crosby had a big 2-run double for the Bullets in the top of the second inning. With Baltimore leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a cutter from Marvello Manalo, who is tied for 6th in the SL in strikeouts with 46, and swatted a double to left. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bullets ahead, 4-0.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Acevedo said. "We did a good job of that today."
