Philadelphia and Montana duked it out and the Liberty came out victorious.

The Philadelphia Liberty weathered an outstanding game by Montana third baseman Basilio Penni to topple the Pandas, 5-4. Penni was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Al Ivey got credit for the win, improving to 2-4. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. Jorge Montoya earned the save for Philadelphia, his 7th of the year.

Philadelphia used the hitting of Bartolo Rojas to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Liberty on top, 5-1. For the game, Rojas had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

Philadelphia manager Geoff Matt called it "a darn good win."

The win elevated the Liberty to 20-20.
