Philadelphia and Amarillo got after it at Ballpark of Liberty.
Philadelphia Liberty U-21 starter Willis Thomas kept the Amarillo Warheads hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. The victory gives Philadelphia a record of 38-28.
Philadelphia third baseman Dan Cook landed a blow when he belted a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 11th home run of the season. With it, the Liberty U-21 took a 6-2 lead.
Cook attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
