Miller reaches base 3 times to Ignite Liberty U-21 Offense
The Philadelphia Liberty U-21 topped the Flint Crush, 8-3, with right fielder Jesse Miller playing a big role. Miller went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Liberty U-21 in the win. Nick Jacobs got the win, improving to 5-5. He held the Crush to 2 runs on 5 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Esteban Rodríguez got credit for the save for Philadelphia. It was his 1st of the year.

Miller contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Philadelphia in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Miller took a changeup from Gonzalo Espinoza and stroked the home run to right-center. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Liberty U-21 to leap in front, 4-1.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Flint manager Michael Woodard.

With the win, Philadelphia pushed its record to 39-28.
