Dick Pound left his imprint on the 4-3 North Ft. Myers win against the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish. Pound was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Júlio Figueroa earned the save for North Ft. Myers, his 5th. The triumph makes North Ft. Myers 7-4, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2057.

North Ft. Myers used the timely hitting of Ken Buckley to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Gators on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Pound.
