Behind an impressive start by Josh Martin, Quebec City beat Ellesmere Island, 2-1. The victory makes Quebec City 4-7.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Baby Blues had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the third, when catcher Archie Griggs hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Michael Hamilton and made the score 2-0, Baby Blues. Griggs went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Ellesmere Island manager Rodrige Margalha, "let me know."
