In a low-scoring tilt between the Beaumont Crossbeaus and the Watford City Trash Pandas, 18-year old right-handed pitcher Andrés Pérez was the difference-maker. The Beaumont right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Pérez picked up the win for Beaumont, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. By defeating Watford City, the 6th-place Crossbeaus improved to 34-35.
Beaumont got a lift in the bottom of the sixth from left fielder Eddie Thomson, who hit a sinker to right for a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season put the Crossbeaus up, 2-0.
