Pandas Squelch Flamingos Offense in Shutout Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Montana Pandas and the Las Vegas Flamingos, Roberto Becerra was the X factor. The Montana right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Montana reliever Roberto Becerra got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Mike Bailie was tagged with the loss. The victory makes Montana 11-30.
Montana used a clutch hit from Sammy Baldwin to snatch the win. The first baseman belted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pandas ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit, but it was huge.
"I felt good up there," said Baldwin. "I saw the ball well."
