The Flint Crush had to reckon with Philadelphia Liberty U-21 hurler Bryan Miller. Miller, who leads the SA- in quality starts with 12, overwhelmed the opposition in the 6-1 Liberty U-21 triumph. The winner was Miller. He threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Jesse Mitchell. The win puts Philadelphia at 41-28 this season.

Philadelphia took the lead, 6-1, on Jim Klein's 8th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Flint pitcher Greg Bradford in the top of the ninth.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Liberty U-21 manager Santiago Paez, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
