Philadelphia pitcher Nick Jacobs did his part in helping his team beat the Ogallala Octopi, 4-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The losing streak for Ogallala has now reached 7 games.

The Liberty U-21 liked what they saw from Jacobs. The 21-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Octopi to no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 7.

"It feels good to get this one," Jacobs told the Philadelphia Chronicle.
