The Surprise Shockers picked up a win at Shockers Field, taking down the Bompton Baby Lakers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Craig Jacobs was a big reason why. Surprise reliever Bobby Griffin picked up the win to move to 5-2. Zhi-jan Wu suffered the loss. Surprise is second in the Silver Low A with a record of 45-25.

Ángel Domínguez cracked a home run off Zhi-jan Wu in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run blast put the Shockers on top, 5-3. In all, Domínguez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Domínguez.
