Surprise turned a good effort from starter Adrian Simionescu into a win over the Maine Sea Dogs at Shockers Field. The Shockers won the game, 4-1. In 7.1 innings, Simionescu surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Surprise is now 38-33.

Surprise took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Lance Morgan hit a clutch grand slam home run to bring Shockers fans to their feet.

"Adrian kept his poise and got the job done," said Surprise manager José Montalópez. "He was outstanding."
