Interns Lose Again, 4-1, to Gators
North Ft. Myers took on Capital Hill in front of a lively crowd.

Manny González pitched a gem to lead North Ft. Myers to victory over the Capital Hill Interns, 4-1. González, now 1-1, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 8, walking 3, and allowing 1 run.

There were several reasons the Gators beat the Interns, but one factor was Roberto Vargo. In the top of the fifth, the North Ft. Myers left fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Capital Hill manager Kyu-cheol P'yo.

Early on, the Gators, at 10-2, have excelled.
