Shady Side and Tijuana played a hard-fought contest.

The Shady Side Zoomies faced a tough opponent in Tijuana pitcher Charles Bailey, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Toros Ballpark by a final score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Bailey went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Shady Side reliever Lorenzo Hernández snagged the win, upping his record to 3-2. Clint Clifton shouldered the loss. Bob Powell was called on to finish, recording his 8th save.

Shady Side third baseman Todd Pacheco delivered a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth. Overall, he went 3 for 5, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and knocked in 2.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Pacheco. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
