The Quebec City Baby Blues picked up a win at The Igloo, downing the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 5-3. On the mound for Quebec City was right-hander Randy Bender, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win went to José Tobías in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Pablo Martínez took the loss. Ellesmere Island is 7-6 after the defeat.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ken Moore? The 20-year old center fielder Moore stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Quebec City up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
