The Echo Park Lakers beat the Pittsburgh Kingfishers by a score of 7-5. Echo Park center fielder Eric George deserved the lion's share of the credit. George was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Lakers. Carlos Sandoval, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 3.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. With the win over Pittsburgh, the Lakers improved to 25-16.
