Crossbeaus Prevail, 8-6, Over Capital Hill

The Beaumont Crossbeaus defeated the Capital Hill Interns, 8-6, in USSL Low A action at The Target. Beaumont pitcher Lambert Fierant had a standout performance. Fierant picked up the win for Beaumont, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 6-4. The save was credited to Sebastian Pease, his 17th.
Héctor Castro had a big 3-run home run for the Crossbeaus in the bottom of the first inning. With Beaumont leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Keith Hays and swatted a home run to left. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Crossbeaus ahead, 6-0.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Ángel Macías.
The Crossbeaus raised their record to 32-41.
