Baby Lakers Need Extra Innings to Top Crossbeaus, 5-3
|
The Bompton Baby Lakers beat the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 5-3, in 12 innings. Bompton pitcher and Baytown, Texas, native Tommy Kramer led the way. The win was credited to Kurt Morse in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Mario García took the loss. Bompton is now 51-22, 6 games up in the Silver Low A.
Bompton used the hitting of Greg Jones to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Baby Lakers on top, 5-3. For the game, Jones had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
