Prince Goes Wild, But Toros Win
The Tijuana Toros outlasted Don Prince and the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 8-6. Prince was impressive in the loss. The Ellesmere Island left fielder went 3 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. The winning pitcher was Carlos Camacho. He's now 1-1. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits for the Toros. Pavla Karzinkin recorded the save, his 4th.

The Toros got an important contribution from catcher Stan Barton, who in the top of the fifth hit a fastball to center for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Toros ahead, 7-1.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Ellesmere Island manager .

For the Snowpeople, the loss makes their record 5-9.
