Victor Lagers, the 10th overall pick in the 2059 draft, had a strong outing for the Hudsonville Flanderses against the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish at Plattsburgh Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. The winner was Lagers. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Ben Lane. Robbie Brown, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Pedro Blanca? The Hudsonville second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Flanderses on top, 1-0. For the game, Blanca had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
