Harvey Brings A-Game, Harbor Whales Beat Gators
|
Rob Harvey, the 5th overall pick in the 2062 draft, was in top form in a tight contest between Greenport and North Ft. Myers. The Harbor Whales right-hander helped his team beat the Gators, 2-0. Rafael Fernández earned the save for Greenport, his 4th of the year. With the loss, North Ft. Myers sinks to 8-6.
The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Harvey. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Harbor Whales. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Gators, striking out 5 and scattering 3 hits over 7 innings. Harvey is now 3-1 on the season.
"Rob's a gamer," said Greenport manager Mike Brown. "Glad he's on our side."
