Greenport Dismisses Napanee, 3-1
|
The Greenport Harbor Whales earned a close win over the Napanee Express, thanks in part to Dan McFarland. The Greenport right-hander played a key role in the 3-1 victory. McFarland picked up the win for Greenport, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. The loss drops Napanee to 8-6.
Greenport used the timely hitting of Rak Kuhn to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Harbor Whales ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Felt great, felt really good," said McFarland.
