Snowpeople Lose 6-1 Decision to Ogallala
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 20-year old third baseman António Martínez, the Ogallala Octopi defeated the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 6-1. Ogallala pitcher Clay May got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Andrei Demian got the loss. The defeat makes the Snowpeople 5-9.
In the top of the third, with Ogallala leading 1-0, Tom Milsom hit a fastball from Andrei Demian for a run-scoring single, giving the Octopi the lead, 2-0.
Martínez attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
