Montana pitcher Dermot Chave had a large part in his team beating the Las Vegas Flamingos, 5-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The triumph makes Montana 12-30.
Montana used a timely hit from Shi-fu Zhang to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pandas ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.
Montana manager Andrew Schupick commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
