Angel Kitties Lose as Express Stage Late Rally
|
No one was more impactful than Thomas Erak in the 6-5 Napanee win over Bethlehem. Erak, who is tied for 10th in the 3A- in runs scored with 10, was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Beau Davis recorded the save for Napanee, his 1st of the season. The overall performance of the 2061 Angel Kitties has been rotten so far.
Had Carlos Carter not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Carter hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Express.
"This is truly a great team to play with," Carter said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
