Warheads Get One-Run Win at Bompton
The Amarillo Warheads defeated the Bompton Baby Lakers by the score of 4-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Fred Edwards. Edwards went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Warheads on the day. Amarillo reliever Rubén Bautista snagged the win, upping his record to 1-3. Jonathan Emery shouldered the loss. The Warheads raised their record to 27-49.

With Amarillo leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Edwards hit a fastball from Leonard Sheppard for a 2-run double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Warheads ahead, 3-0.

"It was a solid team effort," said Edwards after the game.
