Led by Edgar Sandoval, the Bompton Baby Lakers defeated the Amarillo Warheads, 5-4. Sandoval was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Baby Lakers. Bompton goes to 53-23. The win puts them 6½ games up in their division.

Sandoval contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Bompton in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 4-2, Sandoval took a fastball from Matthew Hamm and stroked the home run to left. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Baby Lakers to leap in front, 5-4.

Bompton manager Tyrone Poole called it "a good, solid win."
