The Amarillo Warheads dealt the Bompton Baby Lakers a 4-1 loss at Field of the Browns. Boyd Barnett was the star on offense. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The 6th-place Warheads now have a record of 40-37.

Barnett had a key at-bat for Amarillo in the top of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and gave Amarillo an early 3-0 lead.

"Boyd was ready to go. Big day for him," said Amarillo manager José López.
