Ellesmere Island starter Ernest Pollard put the Ogallala offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his changeup in leading the Snowpeople to a 6-0 win. Ellesmere Island is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 15 games.

Pollard ran roughshod over the Ogallala lineup. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 6. With the victory, he goes to 2-1 on the season.

"Ernest was commanding his pitches," said Ellesmere Island manager Gary MacHardy.
