|
Getting offensive support from Luis Antonio Herrera, the Shady Side Zoomies topped the Memphis Music, 7-3. Herrera was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Zoomies. The 4th-place Zoomies lifted their record to 43-35.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Donald López came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Memphis pitcher Román Ramos, he hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Shady Side on top, 5-3.
López attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
