Alemán Delivers Walk-Off Win for Shockers
Surprise beat Beaumont at Shockers Field, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to center fielder Bob Reeves. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2. The win belonged to Ángelo Torres in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Werner Mooney took the loss for Beaumont. Surprise is in 4th place in the Silver Low A with a record of 42-36.

Jorge Alemán was the walk-off hero for Surprise. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shockers third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was jumping at the end," Reeves said.
