Ernesto Zamora, who is tied for 3rd in the SA- with a 8.5 K/9 rate, was locked in. The right-hander led the Ogallala Octopi to a 7-3 win against the Surprise Shockers at Shockers Field. With the win, the Octopi improved to 36-42.

Ogallala used a well-timed hit by Alfredo Torres to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Octopi ahead, 5-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Torres said his team "played with determination."
