Rams Topple Beavers, 4-2, as McCarthy Shines
Ladue picked up a win at Beaver Town, bumping off the Northwest Territory Beavers, 4-2. Pitcher John McCarthy was a major reason the Rams emerged victorious. McCarthy, now 11-4, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 11, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The save went to Mario González, his 20th this season.

The Rams grabbed the lead in the top of the fifth. With one out, Emílio Núñes hit a 3-run home run off John Farmer, putting Ladue in front, 4-0. For Núñes, it was his 6th home run of the season.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said McCarthy.

Ladue now sits at 40-38, while Northwest Territory falls to 37-41.
