The Bompton Baby Lakers locked up a win at Flint Park, knocking off the Flint Crush, 3-2. On the mound for Bompton was right-hander Leonard Sheppard. He played a major role in the triumph. Tommy Kramer picked up his 13th save of the season. Bompton now has a record of 54-25 with the win.

Bompton needed the clutch hitting of Jeremy Hoover to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Baby Lakers on top, 3-1. For the game, Hoover had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
