The Watford City Trash Pandas clipped the Memphis Music, 3-2, in 11 innings at Trash Panda Field. The standout performance belonged to Watford City pitcher and Mechanicsville, Pennsylvania, native William Edwards. Watford City reliever Carlos Rodríguez was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Dale Bernard. The 9th-place Trash Pandas own a record of 28-52.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Watford City shortstop Jing-xiang Shen, facing Dale Bernard, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Trash Pandas the 3-2 win.
"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Trash Pandas manager Paul Díaz.
