Shockers Solve Sea Dogs, 3-2
|
Bill Hewlett pitched well, but the Maine Sea Dogs still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Surprise Shockers at Sea Dogs Park. The 7th-place Shockers go to 36-44.
Surprise used a clutch at-bat from Ángel Domínguez to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Shockers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Shockers manager Nick Hoskins.
