Plattsburgh beat Napanee on the strength of starting pitcher Gabriel Morales's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Álex Morales earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game. The Express, now 6-11 this season, have struggled to play .500 ball.

Plattsburgh used a well-timed hit by Michael Allen to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Puffer Fish ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.

"Gabriel kept his poise and got the job done," said Plattsburgh manager Wallace James. "He was outstanding."
